August 2023 recap

Hey everyone,

I hope you've been having a marvellous summer.

August was super busy for me, but really fun. It's not been too hot for this time of year, and I've secretly been loving all the thunderstorms we've been having in Toronto.

I've had an incredible bunch of clients visiting the studio and getting great tattoos. I haven't had much flash up recently as I've been so busy setting up the new studio, but I've had tonnes of amazing custom tattoo projects. From narwhal and beluga buddies to full decorative floral sleeves, it's all been amazing. I'm so grateful to the incredible people that chose to get tattooed by me, and especially those that travel from all over North America to Toronto. If you want to check out everything I tattooed just scroll to the bottom of this post!

I've also been busy booking up September through to December, so thank you to everyone that booked in! I'm so excited for the custom tattoo projects I've got lined up!!! I'm next going to be opening my books form 3rd to 5th November, And I'll be booking up the winter months. Everything you need to know is HERE.

Another tattoo based update (sort of) is I got new two pothos plants for the studio! They're now at the front with another plant that was donated (I have no idea what type that one is). Hopefully they all live! Thank you Elise for the suggestion.

Now I finally feel like I've settled into my new space and have spare time (and more energy) to get back to more drawing outside of custom tattoos. So far I've just been enjoying playing around in my sketchbook (I've posted a few of my sketchbook pages over on my patreon if you want to take a look). But I'm hoping to have loads of new tattoo projects up for the next round of booking (in November).

In other news my little lady turned one!!!! I can't believe it! Look at how much she's grown....

What an angel 🥰, right? She was so so spoiled (deservedly so, I mean look at that lil face).

I also got to take a little break with my friend in August, so I spent a couple days in the most beautiful cabin next to a sweet little pond with horses, sheep and the friendliest dogs. It did rain a fair bit, but it was so relaxing to just read and draw and listen to the rain on the rooftop. Those might be my favourite kind of days tbh.

I also went to see The National play at the Budweiser stage and the one and only PATTI SMITH supported!! Seeing her is a bucket list event for me, and she was absolutely incredible. If you've never read her book Just Kids I highly recommend picking it up!

Tysm for reading!

Talk soon,

Lu
